Dearborn is perhaps best known as the location of Ford Motor Company's World Headquarters, the hub of a industrial empire founded in 1903 by Henry Ford.
In it's earlier years, Dearborn was considered the "company town" of Ford Motor Company. Located in Dearborn is the Ford Rouge Plant, one of the world's largest and most comprehensive production facilities.
